Cambridge, MA — Nonprofit leader and gubernatorial candidate Danielle Allen visited the Cambridge Community Center, where she packed boxes for pickup and distributed diapers to families in need today. She also met with members and leaders of the center to tour the facilities and discuss the needs of both the center and the community as a whole.
“We were excited to host Massachusetts Gubernatorial Candidate Danielle Allen at the Cambridge Community Center to highlight the needs of our community and the youth, families, and seniors we serve,” said Cambridge Community Center Executive Director Darrin Korte. “As a community-based nonprofit organization who has responded to the evolving needs of our most under-represented and under-resourced community members for over 92 years, we too believe — as Danielle puts it — ‘It’s time to accelerate the pace of change.”
“It was a pleasure to meet with the amazing community leaders who have dedicated themselves to this necessary work, and I was honored to join them in helping serve the needs of the families here today,” said Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Danielle Allen. “This center provides access to fundamental necessities that many in this community rely on. We need to step up and support the work they’re doing at the state level by securing the fundamental building blocks of housing, good jobs, and education for families across the Commonwealth.”
